Vintage Boy's Short Suspender Pants and Matching Hat Romanes & Paterson Brand

This is a vintage suspender short set and hat to match.  It is Red, White, Yellow, Blue and Green Plaid. Made by the Romanes & Paterson Edinburgh & Boston, made in Gr. Britain.  Don't know what era it is from but purchased it from an estate sale and bought lots of vintage boys and some girls wear.  This one has a small hole, pin head size in the hat right by the black decoration. I have clearly shown it in the picture.  Not very noticeable because of the plaid material. I believe the material is wool but it is not marked, no directions on washing.  The the store was established in 1908 and is listed as a destination place, a real Scottish shopping experience.
