2-Way Humidification System
Boveda's 2-way humidity control technology automatically protects your instrument against warping, cracks and other damage caused by lack of humidification or too much humidification. Boveda is the only true 2-way humidity control that will add or remove moisture as needed to maintain a constant 45%-55% relative humidity level - the ideal climate for wooden instruments.
Each Boveda consists of a specially prepared saturated solution of pure water and natural salts. This saturated solution is contained within a water-vapor permeable "reverse osmosis" membrane. Boveda works on the scientific principle that certain salts mixed with water will naturally regulate humidity. Boveda's patents are on the methods invented to make this scientific principle portable and practical for the rigors of packaging applications. Boveda absorbs and emits only purified water vapor through its semipermeable membrane and does not damage material through direct contact.
Note: While Boveda’s Packaging specifies that the

is for violin, cello, and double bass, among other wooden instruments, we recommend the larger

as a more effective alternative for Cello and Double Bass. Both kits include the same

30 Day No-Hassle Return Policy
If you are not satisfied with this item for any reason, you may return it for a full refund within 30 days of purchase (must be in new condition with original packaging). The only exceptions are installed strings and opened electronic media, which may not be returned. Installed strings cannot be reused by other players and are considered used, while vendor agreements require us to only accept returns of DVDs, CDs, and software if they are in an unopened package with original seals.
1 Year Warranty
Anything that proves defective in materials or workmanship in the first year may be returned for refund or exchange, except strings. Strings are guaranteed against breakage for 30 days. Because the total qualities of each instrument are unique, we cannot accept string returns for reasons of tone, including false strings. Normal wear and tear and accidental damage are not considered defects.
